Are leaders helping too much?
Successful leaders help people but helping can have disadvantages you might not have thought of. Strength often rises to challenges so don’t get in the way of that by rushing to help. Ease bores talented people whereas challenge can bring out the best in people. Leaders who thrive learn how to put responsibility on people, without overwhelming them. Remember to examine yourself before helping – sometimes we help because it makes us feel important, but your job is to believe that others are important.
